SVP Chemical Plant Services provides engineering studies and manages ammonia-urea projects from feasibility through start-up, built on four decades inside operating plants.
Venkat founded SVP Chemical Plant Services in 2021 to bring senior operating and engineering experience to the global hydrogen, ammonia and urea industry, the kind of experience that usually retires with the people who hold it.
Over a career of more than 40 years he has worked across process design, project development, commissioning, plant operations, process safety management and manufacturing excellence programs. As global ammonia technology manager for Incitec Pivot, he supported the company’s manufacturing facilities in Australia and North America, working on everything from day-to-day plant performance to major capital projects.
Venkat is a long-standing contributor to the industry’s collective knowledge. He has published more than 150 papers on ammonia and urea process safety, plant incidents and technology developments, wrote the “Ammonia” chapter of the Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology, and is a regular presence at the AIChE Safety in Ammonia Plants & Related Facilities Symposium.
